The best host this past awards season by a mile was Stephen Fry at the BAFTAs. Seth Rogen comes second because he does have his fair share of good jokes (even if I’m not a fan of his delivery); he also displays genuine humility over the duds in the pack, unlike Ricky Gervais or (let’s be honest) Billy Crystal who had the good grace to laugh at their own material. Plus, I’ve always appreciated how relaxed the Independent Spirit Awards are.
The worst by a mile were those two nitwits who hosted the Critics Choice awards. I have no idea who they are — I think they’re on The League — and I can’t even be bothered to look their names up.
